Hi, I’m Brett, the owner of Moorlands Locksmiths. I started the business in 2023 after working for a well-known locksmith franchise.

I’m based in Forsbrook, and my work is mainly in people’s homes: changing locks, sorting out doors that won’t lock or open, and helping when someone has lost or broken a key.
That experience showed me an opportunity to offer a more personal service: a local locksmith customers could speak to directly, without going through a call centre.
I also saw how frustrating unclear pricing could be, especially when someone was quoted one figure and then faced unexpected extras. I wanted to give my customers confidence about the work and what it would cost.
At Moorlands Locksmiths, I explain what’s needed and agree the price before starting. Whether you’re locked out or arranging a repair, you deserve straightforward advice, reliable workmanship and an honest service.
I’m proud to serve Stoke-on-Trent and the Staffordshire Moorlands. I believe a good reputation is earned one job at a time, by turning up, keeping your word and treating people fairly.
You don’t need to know the name of the broken part before you call. Tell me what the key or handle does and whether the door opens. I’ll assess the problem, explain the recommended work and agree the cost before I start.
I also work with residential landlords, estate agents and property maintenance companies, including lock changes between tenants and lost-key jobs. The same approach applies: understand the problem and be clear about the work.

I continue building my knowledge through the work and further learning. My work carries a 12-month guarantee covering parts and labour.
I support Blythe Bridge Cricket Club and Porthill Lads Football Club. Forsbrook is my base, and I travel to customers across Stoke-on-Trent and the Staffordshire Moorlands. See the areas I cover.
I’m a mobile locksmith, not a walk-in key-cutting shop. I cut replacement keys in my workshop when needed as part of a locksmith job.
There is no call-out fee or additional night, weekend or bank-holiday rate. I assess repairs and agree the scope and total before starting. A quick, small fix and a job needing replacement parts are priced according to what is involved.

Great service! I rang Bret to give me a quote on a lock that my key kept getting stuck in, he said he would be about an hour he kept me up to date with a message saying 30 minutes away within the hour he was here. Brett had a look at my front door locking mechanism, to cut a long story short he said that I was putting the key in the wrong position to open the door that’s why my key kept getting stuck in the lock…….I felt such an idiot felt as if I had wasted his time , but what a genuine professional guy Brett is offering his quick assistance, you rarely come across that honesty these days. The door has never opened or closed so well.
