What to ask before you book a locksmith

Does the quote include the lock or mechanism, fitting and any keys? If a door is stuck shut, is opening it included? Are there separate call-out or out-of-hours charges? Ask for the scope and total to be clear before work begins.

My price guide explains the usual jobs. I don’t charge a call-out fee or increase prices at night, weekends or bank holidays. For a gearbox or full mechanism replacement, opening a door initially stuck shut is included.
